On Monday, February 20, 2023, the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Evans Opoku Bobie, led a delegation of ministry representatives to pay a visit to Mr. Sellas Tetteh, the sick former coach of the Black Satellites, at his home in Accra.
After learning of the coach’s poor health, the Deputy Minister expressed his delight at seeing him in good health.
He stated that the visit’s goals were to assess the coach’s health and to present H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo with a monetary donation of 50,000 Ghana cedis (GHc50,000) to cover the coach’s medical costs.

The Black Satellites, the under-20 national team, won the global championship in Egypt in 2009 under the direction of coach Sellas Tetteh.

The Chief Accountant, Dr. Osman Haruna Tweneboah, the Deputy Director of Research, Statistics, and Information Management, Mr. Horen Quashigah, the Head of Protocol, Mrs. Dinah Boateng, the Head of Public Relations, Mr. Kenneth Annang, and An Assistant Director, Rodalyn Ansong were among the representatives who accompanied the Deputy Minister.
