Imoro Sheriff, 21, was allegedly killed by a gang after he visited his girlfriend in the vicinity.
Imoro, whose rank could not be immediately verified, was attacked with knives and other weapons, immediately after leaving the girlÂfriend’s home.
It was said that Imoro visited the girlfriend anytime he went to Ashaiman where he was born and raised.
Imoro’s family home in Zongolika, an Ashaiman neighborhood, was visited by Ghananewsaid.net on Monday. The mourners were in a state of shock.
Asanubu Imoro, the deceased’s father, acknowledged the death of his son and claimed to have learned about it on social media.

The son, who was based in Sunyani, Bono Region, notified Asanubu Imoro that he was attending a military program in Accra and would be visiting family members on Friday, according to Asanubu Imoro.
He arrived as expected. There was no answer when we left a message at his phone number late at night. I recognized my son when someone showed me a video and said, “Do you know this man?”
Asanubu Imoro claims that while the investigation into the crime was ongoing, the military and other security agencies kept in regular contact with the family.
The Ashaiman Divisional Police Command declined to comment on the incident when the Ghanaian Times contacted them about it, but they did say that 13 individuals had so far been detained.
