During their time together at Santiago Bernabeu, former Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho allegedly forced Mesut Ozil to break up with his girlfriend.

After a standout career in which he played for elite teams like Real Madrid and Arsenal, Ozil made his retirement from football official last week. Between 2010 and 2013, the 34-year-old played with Los Blancos, tallying 19 goals and more than 50 assists in 159 appearances.
The German was coached by Mourinho throughout his time in Spain, and the duo shared La Liga and the Cup del Rey championships. But, the Portuguese tactician was apparently irritated by Ozil on one occasion, which prompted the former Chelsea manager to make remarks about his ex-girlfriend.
Mourinho reportedly said to Ozil, through the SUN, in a 2012 audio recording of Real Madrid president Florentino Perez that was leaked and made public by the Spanish publication El Confidencial

Then, one day, Jose Mourinho became irritated with him and sarcastically said, “Hey Ozil, idiot, let me tell you something as if I were your father, because this girl you’re going out with has slept with everyone at Inter and AC Milan, including the coaching staff of both teams.” Ozil ultimately decided to leave her.
According to the Daily Mirror, Mesut Ozil is betting on his old team Arsenal to defeat Manchester City and win the English Premier League this year.
