Former President John Mahama has stated that Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has a chance to rewrite the country’s history.
After President Tinubu’s inauguration on Monday, Mr. Mahama congratulated him and said that Nigeria may grow to become the dominant nation in Africa.

“Your inauguration presents an opportunity to reset the Nigerian narrative and give hope to the Nigerian people that your great nation can rise to play the leading role on our continent that destiny has bestowed upon her,” Mr. Mahama wrote in a Facebook post on May 30, 2023.
“I firmly believe that you will use your good offices in your capacity as Commander in Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces to consolidate the integrity and unity of the nation and to collaborate with ECOWAS for long-term peace and stability in West Africa,” he concluded.
