Men With Erectile Dysfunction To Get Fast Solution From Chris Pod Hospital

The Chris Pod Hospital and Diagnostic Centre has embraced technological advancements to help men with erectile dysfunction (ED) enjoy life after receiving care and therapy for their prostate.

Research has shown that, compared to previous treatments, the technology, which involves implanting a cylinder in men’s phallus and is known as a penile implant, gives spouses of anxious erectile dysfunction patients over 90% happiness.

In his speech to the hospital on “Why we should be concerned in men’s health,” Cornell University in New York, United States of America (USA) Professor of Clinical Urology Ridwan Shabsigh noted that there are two different types of implants: semi-rigid and inflatable.

In addition to the most popular implant, he claims that other treatments for erectile dysfunction include optimizing dosage and instructions, enhancing diabetes management, addressing low testosterone, and providing therapies like penile self-injection.

He said that individuals receiving penile implant therapy would have their devices replaced once every 15 years, but the majority of circumstances leading to post-cancer can be avoided with routine check-ups and early detection.

Men frequently do not prioritize their health, according to Prof. Shabsigh, who is also the Chairman of Surgery at the SBH Health System in the Bronx, the former President of the International Society of Men’s Health, and the editor of the Journal of Men’s Health.

Hence, regardless of location, race, or ethnicity, men are determined to achieve their goals and objectives at the price of their health, which has led to a shorter average life expectancy for males than for women.

“Men get sick and probably crippled earlier in life than women, with severe ramifications to health, family, and economy,” he said, “despite the fact that men outnumber women in the typical 12 to 15 leading causes of death.”

To date, there have been possibilities to reduce morbidity and mortality through risk reduction and prevention.

In a broader sense, he said, men’s health concerns include male-specific diseases, non-gender-specific diseases with high frequency in men or particular impact on men, behavior with high prevalence in males, and societal conditions with particular influence on men.

He noted a lack of exercise, excessive eating, smoking, stress, and overworking as factors that alter men’s pathways to diseases, with the results being erectile dysfunction, low desire, low testosterone, subfertility, and symptoms of the lower urinary tract (LUTS).

The metabolic syndrome, which includes abdominal obesity, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, insulin resistance, hypogonadism, ED, subfertility, and LUTS, as well as subsequent cardiovascular (CV) events including intramuscular (IM) and stroke, could develop as a result of these repercussions.

According to Prof. Shabsigh, lifestyle factors are primarily to blame for men’s health issues.

Despite the fact that the health of women and children is equally important, he asserted that men also require care because their lives are short and because their health requires a multidisciplinary approach that includes psychiatry, psychology, endocrinology, urology, sex and reproductive medicine, cardiology, and other fields.

The prostate is what?

The prostate is a walnut-sized gland that is situated beneath the bladder, in front of the rectum, and behind the base of the penis. The urethra, the tube-like passageway that conducts urine and sperm via the penis, is encircled by it.

Producing seminal fluid, the substance in semen that supports, shields, and aids in the movement of sperm, is the prostate’s main job.

Why invite a urology expert?

Chris Pot Hospital’s Medical Officer, Dr. Emmanuel Awottey, stated that the facility’s main goal is to provide top-notch treatment for everyone and to be a leader in contemporary healthcare delivery.

The facility, he continued, has cutting-edge amenities and strives to be a leader in healthcare for both the nation and the entire continent of Africa.

According to Dr. Awottey, the hospital offers additional services, such as free health screenings, to guarantee that illnesses are detected early on.
