A female SHS student in form 2 at Akyem Nsutam Senior High School in the Eastern region’s Fanteakwa South area allegedly died after her barber lover stabbed her to death because she had cheated on him.
Abigail Asare, 18, a student in General Arts I, reportedly went to see her lover at his barbershop in Nsutem Township on June 1, 2023, after the school had ordered the students to leave for break.
However, misunderstandings developed between her and her boyfriend, Michael Osei, after he accused her of having an extramarital affair.
She was allegedly repeatedly stabbed to death at the barbershop in the early evening, and the culprit fled after locking the heavily wounded victim inside.
Later, the dead body of the deceased was discovered in a pool of blood in the barbershop.
The saloon was broken into for crime scene inventories after the police were notified, and the body was removed to the morgue pending more investigation.
According to reports, the deceased lived in Akyem Enyiresi.
