Abdullai Abu Sadiq (also known as Baba Sadiq), a businessman in the music and media industry, has formally declared his intention to run in the parliamentary primaries of the National Democratic Congress.
He plans to run for office in the Okaikoi Central Constituency.

The co-founder of the 3Music Awards said, “yesterday was when the portals for forms were available so I went through the procedure, completed some submissions, and I’m going through the endorsement process,” in an interview on February 23, 2023.

In order to wrest the parliamentary seat from the New Patriotic Party, Sadiq declared he would follow the rest of the procedures, run for office, and eventually hope to be elected.
He has been actively participating in party activities over the past few years, most notably by helping to prepare the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) manifesto for the arts in advance of the 2020 elections.
Actor and business tycoon Fred Nuamah is another member of the entertainment industry running in the NDC parliamentary primary.
He is running for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency seat in the National Democratic Congress.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has set the date of the presidential and parliamentary primaries for May 13, 2023.
