Gemini, a US-based cryptocurrency exchange, has appointed Pravjit Tiwana as its Asia-Pacific CEO and plans to establish an engineering centre in India.

According to Tiwana in a blog post, the company’s second-largest center after the US would be in Gurgaon, India.
In addition to India, Gemini announced on Thursday that it will grow a staff in Singapore as part of its Asian expansion strategy.
The decision made by Gemini to establish an engineering hub in India is comparable to that made by Coinbase, a rival, in the prior year.
India has a large pool of talented technologists, but it has been hostile to the larger crypto industry.
