He calls their acts disappointing and a betrayal.
I am a proud member of the NDC. But today was the most enraged, disappointed, and betrayed I’ve ever felt. It’s quite disappointing what actually occurred in the chamber, he said.
The NDC, a minority caucus, had taken the position that Nana Akufo-government Addo’s was too big and needed to be reduced in size, which had led to these comments.
As a result, the party issued a formal statement through its general secretary informing the government of its positions and urging all of its members to vote against the new ministerial choices.

Due to this situation, the appointments committee was unable to unanimously approve the president’s nominations. As a result, the same approval had to be put up for a vote on the floor of Parliament on March 24, 2023, in which several NDC MPs participated.
