Dr Duffuor Picks Form To Contest Mahama

Dr. Kwabena Duffour, the former minister of finance, chose his nomination form yesterday in preparation for the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) May primary elections.

Gloria Hussey, the NDC’s Ashanti Regional Women’s Coordinator, picked the forms on his behalf.

Antonio Asinyo, the presidential candidate’s spokeswoman, and a few other delegates from the area backed her.

Before presenting the nomination forms, the Head of the Election Committee, Mr. Kakra Essamuah, walked Dr. Duffour’s team through the procedures outlined in the documents, which comprise a Presidential nomination and endorsement form, an election guide, and procedures for filling out the forms.

He pushed them to complete the paperwork accurately and completely because the screening will take place in a month.

Kindly tell Dr. Duffour to thank you for having the courage to run in the primaries, he continued.

They were also tasked by Mr. Essamuah to remind Dr. Duffour that the nation needed someone like him and the other competitors to pull it out of the rot because it was bleeding and falling apart.

After receiving the forms, Ms. Hussey assured that she would give them to Dr. Duffour and that she would also relay the messages to him.

She claimed that because women were disproportionately affected by crises, they would lobby for Dr. Duffour to help the nation out of them.

Dr. Duffour collected the paperwork from his team at his Osu Ringway Estate Campaign Headquarters in Accra.

“Our nation Ghana is sinking at a faster rate than we can all comprehend. Between 2009 and 2012, we were a world-renowned country, and the governance structure was in the capable hands of leaders who lacked corruption and were intellectually competent.
