According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Moroccan footballer Achraf Hakimi supposedly has nothing to his name, therefore his ex-wife Hiba Abouk was unable to inherit half of his riches.

When Hakimi filed for divorce, Abouk allegedly demanded half of his property and wealth; however, she was informed that Hakimi has nothing to his name and that all he owns is in his mother’s name.

According to the source, his mother even receives his pay.

The Paris Saint-Germain player is the sixth best paid African footballer, earning more than $215,000 each week, according to a report by Morocco World News from June.

After a 24-year-old woman accused Hakimi of rape in February, he is now being prosecuted on preliminary rape accusations.

Even though the claimed victim told police that she merely wanted to “make a statement of rape,” without making a formal complaint, police still launched an investigation into the incident.

Abouk stated she would always support victims when she first broke her silence on the rape claims against Hakimi last month.

She also stated that she chose to end her relationship with Hakimi before he was charged with rape, but she did not give any other details.

When Hakimi was playing for Dortmund in Germany in 2018, he met Abouk, who is twelve years older than him and garnered notoriety for her part in the Spanish crime thriller El Principe.

Hiba, who was born in Madrid to immigrants from Tunisia, has a similar background to Hakimi and his wife.

The pair wed in a secret ceremony in 2020 before welcoming their first kid. They welcomed their second kid in 2022.
