Credible information picked up by Ghananewsaid.net indicates that, actor and movie director, Fred Nuamah, is seeking to be a Member of Parliament aspirant for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC)

Already, the party has slated May 13, 2023 as the date for both the Presidential and Parliamentary elections, but the sensational actor/ movie director is keen on contesting for a parliamentary slot for Ghana’s largest opposition party in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency
It will be recalled, fellow actor, John Dumelo, also contested on the same ticket for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the year 2020 but lost narrowly to current Member of Parliament Lydia Seyram Alhassan (Hon)
Mr Fred Nuamah is quite known as a veteran actor and movie director in the movie industry, but it remains to be seen if the ‘The Game’, ‘The Prince Bride’, ‘Amakye and Dede’, ‘Heart of Men’, ‘4Play’, actor have a place in the NDC as well as his constituency
According to party hierarchy, it will cost an amount of Ghc 5,000 to pick up forms to contest for the parliamentary slot whilst a non – refundable amount of Ghc 40,000 is pegged as the filing fee for the primaries
For the Presidential primaries, an amount of Ghc 30, 000 has been pegged as the fee for the forms while Ghc 500,000 is the non – refundable filing fee
Mr Fred Nuamah becomes the sixth person in Ghana’s entertainment industry to declare his intention to seek a political office in Ghana
