10 Years Handed To A chainsaw Operator For Creating Illegal Damage

Kingsley Tabitey, a 31-year-old chainsaw operator, was given a 10-year prison term by the Jasikan Circuit Court for causing illegal damage.

He admitted to the allegations and was found guilty based on his own admission.

Godsway Agboli, a student at the Rev. Father Dogli Memorial Senior Technical School in Ayoma, in the Jasikan Municipality, and a part-time commercial rider (Oka­da), lived nearby, according to the prosecutor, Assistant Superintendant of Police (ASP) Vincent Seth Kpodo.

The defendant requested to be transported to Tapa Amanya in the Biakoye District using the student’s motorcycle, the court presided over by Mr. Alfred Kwabena Asiedu was informed.

According to the prosecution, Tabitey asked the student to stop the motorcycle on the trip to Tapa Amanya so that the convict could urinate.

When they resumed their journey after urinating, according to ASP Kpodo, Tabitey pulled out a knife and made an attempt to cut Agboli’s throat.

According to the prosecution, Agboli lost control of the steering during the incident and drifted off the road and into a nearby shrub.

He claimed that the criminal took the student’s motorcycle and fled on it.
